- Upon arriving at the practice, you will be greeted by the receptionist.
- You will be given some important paperwork to complete. Please read it carefully. Anything you are unsure about, please ask the receptionist.
- Once all the paperwork is complete, the receptionist will verify them and ask you for your ID book/Drivers License and medical aid card.
- A copy of these two documents will be made and added to your medical file
- You will then be asked to settle the consultation amount and will be issued a receipt accordingly
- You will then have a seat in the waiting area and your file will be handed to the doctor.
- The doctor will come to the reception area and greet you and take you to the consulting room.
- You will be asked about your medical concerns and a medical history will be taken
- You will then be taken to the examination room and a thorough medical examination will be performed.
- The doctor might also perform some of the following in-practice tests: ECG, Stress Test, Glucose Test, Floop Test, Echo/Sonar.
- You will then be taken back to the consulting room and be advised of the examination findings.
- You will be advised if any further diagnostic investigations need to be performed.
- Once the consultation is complete, the doctor will escort you back to the waiting room where you will be issued an invoice/statement for your consultation. If you are a private patient and any extra diagnostic tests were performed, you will be required to settle these amounts now.
- If a followup appointment is required, it will be made at this juncture.
- Now you are all done and you may leave
